'Tis the season of gift-giving, and that’s just as true in the world of Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl as it is here in the real world. To celebrate the season, trainers can collect a brand new Mystery Gift that’ll help spruce up their Secret Base in the Grand Underground.
This code comes courtesy of Pokemon’s Japanese stream that just wrapped up over the weekend. To enter the code, you’ll need to have progressed at least as far as Jubilife City and unlocked Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl’s wifi connection options by speaking to the Jubilife TV Producer. Once you do that, just enter “MERRYCHR1STMAS” under the “get with code/password” button in the Mystery Gift tab to receive your gifts.
What you’ll get is a collection of five statues for your Secret Base in the Grand Underground. Those statues include Rhyperior, Electivire, Glaceon, Pachirisu, and Lucario, all built to in-game life-size. Rhyperior is easily the largest of the five, followed by Electivire, then Lucario, and then Glaceon. Parichisu is small enough it can practically ride on your shoulder. If it weren’t a statue, that is.
Better act fast on this Mystery Gift as the code expires on Christmas Day (December 25).
In other Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl News, there's a new duplication exploit. Pokemon YouTuber Blaines shared a guide on how to pull off this latest duplication glitch which you'll likely need to watch a few times as it's pretty complicated. But once you get it, you can duplicate entire boxes of Pokemon at a time.
The gist of the glitch is spamming buttons so that you can have multiple menus open at once–something that basically no other Pokemon game has ever been able to do. You can eventually get two PC boxes to open at the same time which will cause moving Pokemon to duplicate in the other box.
Blaines has an updated version of the glitch that’s even easier to replicate, so check it out for another early Christmas gift (albeit one that Nintendo never really intended).
