Pokemon Go Seedot Shiny: How to catch Shiny Seedot in Community Day event?

The latest Pokemon Go event went live earlier today all across the world with the start of a brand new Community Day.

This event brings plenty of excellent bonuses for players to take advantage of triple catch XP and incense that lasts for three hours during the event.

However, the biggest addition for fans of the game who must have all pokemon in their pokedex is the debut of a brand new Pokemon in the games ever-increasing Pokemon Go shiny list.

This time around, it's for the tiny Grass-type from the Hoenn region, Seedot.

During the event, Seedot will have increased spawns with the increased chances of encountering a shiny too.

Keep reading as we've broken down all of the potential ways you might be able to encounter the Shiny Seedot moving forward and how to get yourself a shiny Nuzleaf and shiny Shifty, too.

How to catch a shiny Seedot in Pokemon GO?

The Pokemon Go May 2020 Community Day is now live and will take place from Sunday at 11 a.m. local time and ends at 5 p.m. local time.

During the event players will have an increased chance of encountering a shiny Seedot.

As the pokemon will be appearing more frequently in the world, concentrate on opening as many encounters with the Pokemon as possible. If you're not fussed with catching Seedot for extra candy, simply exit the encounter and move onto the next Seedot in the world as quickly as possible.

Obviously, the more Seedot you encounter, the higher your odds of eventually encountering a shiny.

For those who might not know, you'll need 25 Seedot candy for the first evolution into Nuzleaf. Then you'll need 100 Seedot candy for the Final Evolution into Shifty. A sort of Ninja owl.

Shiny Seedot's (and it's subsequent evolved forms) change colour from brown to a red colour. So you should have no problem spotting the shiny when you open the encounter screen in-game.

In addition, those who evolve a Seedot into Shiftry before the conclusion of the event will also learn the Grass-type attack Bullet Seed. This can be done up until two hours after the event finishes (7 p.m. local time).

On top of this, any players willing to part with $1 (or your local equivalent) will be able to take part in the special research task called 'see double'.

"Follow Professor Willow as he learns about Seedot and discovers just how much it and its evolved forms, Nuzleaf and Shiftry, enjoy messing with Trainers and Pokémon alike," explains the official Pokemon Blog.

Players who manage to complete this special research will earn three Incense, five Golden Razz Berries, and other rewards.

Following the conclusion of the event (and hopefully, the UK wide lockdown from Coronavirus), your best bet of catching a shiny Seedot will likely come from visiting locations spawning as many Seedot Pokemon as possible.

We'd suggest that to increase your chances you should head over to the Silph Road Global Nest Atlas to find your nearest Seedot nest.
