Sony is getting ready to officially announce the PlayStation Plus games for December 2021.
The free PS5 and PS4 games will be unveiled by Sony at 4.30pm GMT on December 1. The games will be available to download less than a week later, on the morning of December 7.
Of course, it looks like the free PlayStation Plus games may have leaked ahead of time.
Based on a recent leak, the next batch of free PlayStation 4 and PS5 games will include Godfall Challenger Edition, Mortal Shell and LEGO DC Super Villains.
The new games will replace the current line-up of Knockout City, First Class Trouble, and Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning.
Free PlayStation VR games The Persistence, Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners, and Until You Fall will also leave the service on December 7
It’s possible the leaked games line-up is inaccurate, which means we could be looking at a completely different set of downloads.
If the leak is legitimate, then it’s a pretty strong month for PlayStation Plus free games.
PS5 launch title Godfall is arguably the pick of the bunch, although it’s unclear exactly what is included in the Challenger Edition.
“Aperion is on the precipice of ruin,” reads the official description. “You are the last of the Valorian knights, god-like masters of melee combat equipped with legendary armor sets called Valorplates.
“Ascend in Godfall, the first-of-its-kind, looter-slasher, melee action-RPG.”
Mortal Shell isn’t too dissimilar to Godfall, featuring punishing Souls-like gameplay – with a twist.
“Mortal Shell is a ruthless and deep action-RPG that tests your sanity and resilience in a shattered world,” reads the official description.
“As the remains of humanity wither and rot, zealous foes fester in the ruins. They spare no mercy, with survival demanding superior awareness, precision, and instincts. Track down hidden sanctums of devout followers and discover your true purpose.”
