Sony’s new showcase for the PS5 starts in just a few hours and you can watch it all from here, including the expected price reveal.
Today is, probably, the day that Sony finally announces the price and release date of the PlayStation 5. There’s no guarantees though, as the only thing they’ve confirmed is that they’ll talk about games, but given the console’s likely to be released in November they surely can’t leave it any longer.
It’s especially likely because Microsoft has already revealed the price of the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, so it’s going to be very interesting to see how Sony’s pricing compares to that.
Fans will also be watching out to see whether they talk about PlayStation Now or any other attempt to create a rival to Game Pass, something which is currently winning Microsoft a lot of fans.
How to watch the PS5 showcase event in the UK
The showcase is free to view on YouTube and Twitch, so all you need to do is tune in at the right time using the videos below.
Twitch tends to be a little more stable, but you can never tell so just switch from one to the other if you’re having trouble.

What time does the PS5 showcase event start?
The showcase is a relatively late one and starts at 1pm PDT, which works out as 9pm BST in the UK.
It’s only expected to last around 40 minutes though, so hopefully that means a minimal of waffle. It’ll almost certainly be pre-recorded, so there’s little chance of it running later or going into overtime.
What games will be shown at the PS5 showcase event?
Considering how many games were announced back in June, 40 minutes isn’t time to feature them all again so Sony will probably concentrating on key launch window titles such as Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, Demon’s Souls, and Godfall.
Whether we’ll see more of Gran Turismo 7, Horizon Forbidden West, and GTA 5 is harder to say; as is the chances of anything new. There have been rumours that Final Fantasy 16 might put in appearance though, as well as the oft rumoured but never proven Silent Hill remake.
