If you’ve ever played an RPG and wished that you could give up the adventuring life and take up the role of a shopkeeper, then you’re in luck, because Shop Titans is coming to PC on Steam.
The tycoon game, which was originally released on Android and iOS systems, puts you in the role of a shopkeeper. You build up your inventory, craft more and more items, expand your shop, and even send adventurers off on quests to get you stuff.
Like all tycoon games, you start small, with just a few basic items to sell in a tiny shop. But you expand quickly and have to manage the needs of a constantly-growing customer base, all the while increasing your own skills and the skills of the adventurers that you send out on quests.
It’s not exactly a unique idea for a game — Recettear and Moonlighter both explore the life of a shopkeep in a fantasy setting. The difference is that Shop Titans takes a more casual approach, going so far as to brand itself (perhaps a bit inaccurately) as an idle game.
Anyone who hopes to help along adventurers looking to protect themselves and deal some damage can expect Shop Titans to release in May 2020.
