The Inks in Scarf are a set of Collectible story segments that detail an alternate perspective to the one you've been fed by your ally the Scarf. Who should you believe? After all, you have no reason not to trust the being that brought you into the world.
If you want to hear the full story, you'll need to collect all the Inks; there are three hidden in every level. Thankfully, this guide will walk you through where to find them all, and the easiest order to track them down in, for each world.
All The Inks In The Ocean
1 – Rebellion
The first Ink is in the very first area that you explore in the Ocean level! You'll need to have captured the scarf and earned the double jump ability before you can get it, though. There's a nomad on a cliff here – if you are looking at him from below, the path to the Ink is directly to your right. Since it's your first one, they don't try to hide it very much.
2 – Shield
To acquire the second Ink, you'll need to backtrack a little. First, keep pushing through the level until you earn the "Liana" ability (you can tell because you'll get an achievement of the same name) that allows you to swing from floating hoops.
Once you have it, start heading back towards the floating logs. However, right before you're about to go over the logs, look right: you'll see a path leading away. Follow it and it'll take you back to the area with the big blue turtle! Once you're there, notice that there's an incline leading to a series of floating platforms up ahead. If you follow that path, it'll take you right to the second Ink!
3 – Freedom

This last Ink is easy to find if you know where to look.
When you get to the end of the Ocean level, there's a towering fortress and a long bridge to cross. It's tempting to push ahead immediately, but hold up a moment! There's a path that leads off the left-hand side of the balcony to another Ink. Just jump down and follow where it takes you! You can see the path from the bridge if you're keen-eyed.
All The Inks In The Desert
1 – Hunt
After reaching the ruins at the bottom of the sandslide, solving the puzzles, and building the bridges, head to the left-hand door. You'll eventually reach an open area (depicted on the left-hand side of the image above) with a platforming challenge. Before you start moving ahead, stop and turn right. There's an opening along the rock wall with a path that leads to the first Ink.
2 – Hero
Again, after going through the left-hand door at the bottom of the sandslide, you'll reach a large open area. This area is after the one where you found the first Ink. It involves several puzzles, not just platforming. Take a look around for the large pool of water with floating flowers in it. On the side of the water that you can access before you've solved all the puzzles, there's a path that leads you to an Ink.
3 – Me
When you return to the ruins at the bottom of the sandslide and go through the right-hand doors, nomads will begin to suck the colour out of your scarf. You'll have to bring the scarf little balls of light that restore her.
Once you have your scarf back, you can progress into the ruins. Turn left right away and cross the gap by swinging on the hoop. There's a lever here that will raise the water level in the area. Next to the lever is a path that leads to the final Ink!
All The Inks In The Forest
1 – Birth

Right at the start of the Forest level, there's a water sphere on the ground that's being guarded by a flock of crows. At first, it seems there's no way to reach the sphere, but you just need to push on a little bit. You'll get access to a mask that allows you to frighten the birds away. Pick it up, backtrack to the area with the water sphere, and venture into the depths to find a cave with the first Ink.
2 – Creation
When you go through the Forest level, you'll need to progress through two different paths to follow some nomads – one of the paths has two nomads and the other path has one nomad. When you follow the path with two nomads, they'll eventually capture and lock up your scarf. No need to worry – you can get this Ink without it.
Head towards the waterfalls (as seen in the left-hand image above). When you reach the Ink marker, you'll notice that there's a large blue force field blocking your path to the right. To deactivate the force field, you'll cross the river. Turn right to see a little beige stone platform there. When you take the vase off the button there, the force field will come down and you can return to the Ink marker and go through that way to get the Ink.
3 – Seed
When you go through the other path, the one with just one nomad on it, you'll enter an area with a lot of apples and bunnies. Once you reach the mainland, you'll need to gather up scarf pieces to charge an obelisk.
You'll find, near where you arrived, a water sphere that will allow you to travel to the bottom of the nearby lake. There's a puzzle to do underwater here, but the Ink is first: when you go under, stick to the right-hand wall. Eventually, you'll find an opening with a path that leads to an Ink.
