Survive Isla Nublar When Jurassic World Aftermath Claws Onto Oculus Quest

It’s the big day the virtual reality (VR) community was waiting for, with Facebook Connect expecting to confirm rumours and reveal exciting new content. And it’s delivered on both of those fronts with Coatsink and Universal Games announcing a collaborative effort, Jurassic World Aftermath.

Fans of the dino franchise will be able to step onto the fated island of Isla Nublar two years after the fall of Jurassic World for a survival adventure. Sent on a mission to recover valuable information, naturally it all goes terribly wrong and you become trapped in an abandoned research facility filled with less than welcoming dinosaurs.

Your only way off the island is to recover the confidential research those who sent you here wanted without becoming lunch for the Velociraptors which escaped when everyone evacuated the island.

A single-player experience, Jurassic World Aftermath tasks you with carefully exploring the research facility, solving puzzles with various tools, whilst trying to find ways to hide or distract the ferocious dinosaurs stalking your every move.

With a stylish aesthetic Jurassic World Aftermath is another title being built specifically for Oculus Quest. Currently, there’s no word on a release date.

Jurassic World Aftermath is just one of a number of VR titles revealed during Facebook Connect coming to the standalone headset. Those revealed today include The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners, Warhammer 40,000: Battle Sister, The Climb 2 and many more.

The big news has most certainly been Oculus Quest 2, with Facebook updating the 2019 version with a better ‘almost 4K’ screen, a Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 processor and more. For the latest updates from Facebook Connect, keep reading VRFocus.
