Despite how popular MultiVersus has already become, the game is still a work-in-progress. Tweaks and changes are being made all the time, and the next update could well include buffs for Taz and Garnet.
That reveal was made by MultiVersus's director Tony Huynh. Huynh shared on Friday that the next fighters up for buffs are Taz and Garnet. The initial tweet from Huynh asked for player feedback, and the turnaround has been fast as it seems Garnet's changes have already been made in preparation for the next update.
Huynh revealed on Saturday that after sifting through the feedback, Garnet's recovery from her air and ground special is faster, and her Sair 1 combos into Sair 2 more reliably. Huynh also confirmed the changes will be applied to Garnet when the Morty update goes live. Morty will be added to the roster on Tuesday.
Work on Taz is ongoing and the Looney Tune's buffs have not been revealed. A scroll through the replies might hint at what to expect. There are a fair few complaints about Taz's down special which sees him toss an apple core. Most players don't appear to bother using it at all, citing the damage it does makes it not worth the trouble.
There's a lot of talk about Taz's tornado too. One of the first changes made to MultiVersus when the open beta went live was nerfing the overpowered move. Now, some seem to think that nerf went a little too far and, since he's a bruiser, Taz needs to have a little more weight and power behind his moves. Hopefully the Taz buffs will also be ready to go in time for Tuesday's update.
