The Artful Escape, one of 2021's best games, has been spotted on PSN, implying a port is on the way.
If you've been paying attention to TheGamer over the past few months, you'll know that we're pretty big fans of The Artful Escape. So much so that it made several of our editors' Game of the Year lists and had a spot on the overall site list too. We're also constantly shouting for people to go and play it, which you should absolutely do.
However, there's always been one small caveat to telling people to go play The Artful Escape – it's currently only on Xbox and PC. That looks set to change very soon, however, as the game has recently been spotted on the PlayStation Network.
As spotted by WellPlayed and shared on ResetEra, a listing for The Artful Escape can be found on PSN right now. No release date is attached to the store page, although it does say that it's "coming soon" and has screenshots and art alongside it. It looks like a release is happening pretty soon as the store page is complete besides pricing information and an official release date.
According to WellPlayed, the listing can only be spotted on the PS5 version of the PlayStation Store and can only be seen in the "Coming Soon" section of the site. Looking for The Artful Escape on the web version of the store will yield no results, but WellPlayed was able to capture several screenshots of the listing and it looks totally legitimate.
To add even more fuel to the fire, Shuhei Yoshida retweeted a post by Annapurna announcing that The Artful Escape was nominated for Outstanding Achievement in Game Direction at the Dice Awards, as well as congratulating them in the comments. Although Yoshida has always shown a love for all indies, combining that with the game's appearance on PSN makes it pretty clear that The Artful Escape is going to be available to a much bigger audience soon.
