The Elder Scrolls Online’s Next Chapter And DLC To Be Revealed Later This Month

Bethesda has announced that a Global Reveal event for the next chapter of The Elder Scrolls Online will take place on January 27 at 3 pm EST later this month. The event promises fans a first look at the game's new chapter alongside new DLC and more.

Bethesda revealed the event via the Elder Scrolls Online Twitter account earlier today, alongside a short cinematic trailer to whet the appetites of excited fans. There's not much information to go on, but the Elder Scrolls Online website details what kind of things we can expect to be shown off, including "new lands to explore" and "new stories to experience."

Bethesda also has some extra goodies for people who will be watching the event live. Those who link their ESO and Twitch accounts prior to the Global Reveal will receive the Barnacle-Back Coral Crab pet as well as an Ouroboros Crown Crate through Twitch Drops for watching the show.

As hypothesized by fans after the much shorter teaser trailer Bethesda uploaded yesterday, it seems likely that The Elder Scrolls Online's upcoming chapter will be focusing on the Maormer, a race of Sea Elves from the continent of Pyandonea. Fans have also spotted that this new trailer hints at the possibility that players will travel to Yokuda, an island to the West of Hammerfell populated by Lefthanded Elves and Redguards.

The vast majority of Yokuda sank into the ocean in the first era due to a catastrophe, the origin of which is apparently still hotly debated among fans. Yokuda is also a place that has been ravaged by a number of civil wars over its history, so it definitely sounds like a place full of stories to experience and mysteries to uncover.

The Elder Scrolls Online has had a number of expansions since its launch back in 2014, but that shouldn't deter new players from diving into this new chapter. We have a handy beginners guide for those new to the game, as well as a guide on how to play the expansions chronologically if you want to try and attempt the impossible and catch up before the new chapter's release.
