The Legend Of Zelda: Majora’s Mask Coming To NSO In February

Every major console creator is busy thinking up ways to lure in new players via their respective subscription services right now. Xbox revealed Game Pass has now surpassed 25 million subscribers, and rumors continue to swirl regarding PlayStation's potential Game Pass competitor. Nintendo also upped its game last year, adding an Expansion Pack option to its Nintendo Switch Online subscription service.

The Expansion Pack includes access to a growing number of Nintendo 64 and Sega Genesis games. A selection of titles from both consoles were added when The Expansion Pack launched, and other games have been added since. Nintendo revealed some of the N64 games it has in the pipeline, and appears to be adding them at a rate of one game per month, which seems fair. Banjo-Kazooie was January's game and is available now if you are signed up to the Expansion Pack.

Since January's game is now available, Nintendo has revealed which N64 game is coming to NSO in February. The Legend Of Zelda: Majora's Mask will join the games already added to the library, bringing the total Zelda games available via the N64 branch of NSO to two. Ocarina Of Time has been available since the Expansion Pack launched. That'll be it for Link since those are the only two Zelda titles that launched on the N64.

Paper Mario has also been added to NSO post-Expansion Pack launch, and there are a number of games that have already been announced which could be coming after Majora's Mask. Pokemon Snap and Mario Golf are both still to come. Since the first anniversaries of New Pokemon Snap and Mario Golf: Super Rush are coming up in the next few months, it's possible both are being saved for those occasions.

The Switch's Expansion Pack got off to something of a rocky start as its first subscribers reported issues with a number of its titles. Those problems appear to have been ironed out as more and more games have been introdcued. Five more Genesis games, led by Altered Beast, were added before just before Christmas. A datamine suggests the N64 will get at least 38 titles while the Genesis will be getting 52.
