Thor Odinson And Mighty Thor Come To Fortnite

Thor: Love And Thunder arrives in cinemas today, and since Fortnite's partnership with Marvel runs so deep, it wouldn't be right if its arrival wasn't accompanied by some in-game content. The latest characters from the MCU to become a part of Fortnite's canon are Thor Odinson and The Mighty Thor, and they're both available now through the in-game store.

Fortnite's Marvel crossovers are usually a few days or weeks out of place. Dr. Strange arrived well before Multiverse of Madness hit theaters, for example. However, the arrival of not one, but two new Thors couldn't have been timed any better. You'll be able to assume the roles of Odinson and Jane Foster as soon as you get back from seeing the movie, or before if you have some time to spare right now.

That's because both of Fortnite's new heroes are available to buy right now, along with a Viking longship load of other cosmetics. Mjolnir comes with The Mighty Thor and a Stormbreaker pickaxe with Odinson. Both heroes come with a red cape backbling, and also a few new emotes. Plus, a pretty badass new loading screen showcasing both Thors wielding their weapons and working together as they do in the movie. Don't panic, you'll find no spoilers here.

As great as it all looks, there is a downside, and it isn't the fact Epic and Marvel still haven't been able to hammer out a deal for Chris Hemsworth's likeness. It's that all of the Thor stuff added to Fortnite today can only be bought in one fell swoop. You can't buy Mjolnir and pass on the rest, nor can you choose to spend your V-Bucks on The Mighty Thor and not the OG. It's all or nothing, and all will set you back 2,500 V-Bucks.

This also isn't the first time Thor has been added to Fortnite. The God of Thunder was first introduced to the island via Fortnite's massive Marvel crossover season. In fact, he led the way and was responsible for bringing the likes of Wolverine, Dr. Doom, and She-Hulk along with him. Speaking of She-Hulk, someone on an Xbox stream accidentally confirmed she will be the next hero added to Marvel's Avengers this week.
