Four months after Assassin's Creed Odyssey got its next-gen update, Ubisoft announced that Assassin's Creed Origins probably will get one too. No date was given, but the devs say they are "looking into" the subject.
On the occasion of today's AC Day, Ubisoft thanked fans of the series for being a part of this community. The devs promise "an exciting future for AC" that presumably includes more new content for Valhalla and the whole-new Assassin's Creed Infinity.
In addition, the team hints they are "looking into adding 60fps support for Assassin's Creed Origins," so we should all stay tuned. While it sounds a bit vague at this point, this is good news for the fans who want to replay Bayek's journey through ancient Egypt on Xbox Series X or PS5 with better performance. Most likely, Ubisoft wouldn't mention the update for 2017's game if it was in doubt.
Assassin's Creed Origins fans have been asking for 60fps support for months now — starting from August, when Assassin's Creed Odyssey got an update for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. For a while, the company remain silent on the matter, but finally, decided to move towards the community demands — and to stop them from spamming their requests all over the socials.
If you are eager for more Assassin's Creed content, be sure to check all the details about the upcoming Dawn of Ragnarok expansion for Valhalla, which will "lean heavily" into Asgardian legend on March 10. And Ubisoft has also announced its collaboration with Overlook Events to launch the Assassin's Creed immersive symphony concert on October 29, 2022.
