Red Dead Redemption 2 hasn't received an update in quite some time – but that's set to change very soon.
Rockstar Games has finally announced the upcoming patch as a "massive update", and fans are happy (many gamers recently dressed up as clowns in the game to protest Rockstar's apparent neglect of the Online part of the title).
Back on Thursday, July 24, Rockstar revealed that a new update was due to land in Red Dead Online soon – and that it would be a pretty significant update, too.
"Later this year players can expect more big updates for [GTA Online and Red Dead Online], including some exciting new extensions and augmentations to an existing role in Red Dead Online, and the biggest ever update for GTA Online, featuring our latest take on Heists in an entirely new location."
Here's what we know so far.
Red Dead Redemption 2 Update – What to Expect
Thanks to an update from Rockstar, we do know vaguely what to expect from the developer once this update has gone live and these patch notes are revealed.
"With both games playing home to more players than ever before in recent months, we know the community has been awaiting news of any updates for GTA Online and Red Dead Online and we are happy to share that both games will receive exciting new updates in the weeks ahead," the developer revealed in an update.
"For Red Dead Online, players can expect a massive new update to arrive Tuesday, July 28th featuring a new Frontier Pursuit that will introduce players to the secrets of naturalism as part of an all-new Role, plus a new Outlaw Pass, tons of community-requested features and fixes, and much more to play and discover in the months to come.
In another post, the developer added: "As part of Tuesday’s update to Red Dead Online look for a new Advanced Camera in the Wheeler, Rawson and Co. Catalogue that offers improved features like increased mobility when capturing photographs, a set of filters and more."
Safe to say, this is going to be a very big update.
We'll let you know when the patch is about to go live.
