PS5: Sony unveil pricing for PlayStation 5 console
PS5 consoles remain in high demand in the UK, but with few people able to buy one. Stock fizzled out in a matter of hours when the next-gen system released in November last year and is yet to return. But some insiders have revealed they expect new stock coming any day now.
When is the PS5 restocking in the UK?
PS5 stock has been slow to return to UK shops, with demand astronomically high in the months since its release.
At best people have had to cope with a trickle of consoles, and with little notice or outright secrecy for when it is available.
Rumours suggest there is more to come in select shops.

Speculation has tipped Argos and Smyths will soon have new stock of the console.
But the two shops currently have notices stating otherwise, with PS5 units yet to show up despite a predicted restock date of January 14.
A note on Argos’ website states the store is “working hard” to secure more stock, without a prospective date.
Smyths, on the other hand, provided a date of “January 2021” for when it could expect new units.
The only other shop which comes close to promising more stock in the UK is Very.
Customers visiting the online retailer will be greeted with a message asking people to “keep checking” for updates.
The message reads: “Unfortunately we have sold out of our PS5 consoles for now.
“We have more stock coming so keep checking back for our next drop.”

None of the UK’s other mainstream online retailers currently have stock.
Technology and gaming specialists such as Curry’s and Game have not stated when people can expect more stock.
Amazon, which traditionally has stock of nearly everything, is also fresh out, with a note reading: “We don’t know when or if this item will be back in stock.”
The same situation seems to apply internationally, with only the US having some confirmed stock this week.
The Sony rewards Twitter account recently revealed some PS5s would come today.
Posting on the site yesterday, they wrote: “A limited number of PS5 consoles will be available tomorrow.
“Stay tuned & we’ll let you know when they are live on the site. You might want to turn on post notifications.”
Sony rewards is not a retail site like Amazon, and people can only win products or buy them with accrued reward points.
