Which Nintendo Character Are You Based On Your Zodiac Sign?

Nintendo is the king of video game IP, boasting several iconic fan-favorite series whose origins reach back to the beginning of the video game industry. From Super Mario Bros. to The Legend of Zelda to more recent series like Pikmin and Splatoon, Nintendo owns dozens of recognizable characters. With games appealing to both kids and adult audiences, everyone is familiar with more than a few Nintendo series.

With so many classic Nintendo characters, there’s bound to be one you relate to. Ever wondered why you feel a special bond with Bowser? Or a kinship with Tom Nook? Your Zodiac Sign could be the reason!

12/12 Sagittarius (November 22-December 21): Fox McCloud (Star Fox)

Fox McCloud, the hero of the Star Fox series, is the classic independent space fighter pilot, which Sagittariuses can absolutely get behind. Sagittariuses don’t like to be held down by rules and rigid structure, similar to Fox’s desire to lead his own team separate from the Cornerian army. The strict military life doesn’t suit Fox or Sagittariuses.

Though Fox, as the leader of his team, bears a little more responsibility than most Sagittariuses are comfortable with, he often acts on instinct alone. His spontaneous decision-making is much more Sagittariuses’ style.

11/12 Capricorn (December 22-January 19): Meta Knight (Kirby)

Capricorns are stoic, reserved individuals who show little emotion and act without remorse or regret. For that reason, they’ll likely relate best to Meta Knight from the Kirby series. With his dark color palette and mask, Meta Knight has an air of mystery surrounding him and isn’t one to show emotion, like Capricorns.

Also, Meta Knight works best alone, a shared preference with Capricorns. He knows his own mind, helping or hindering Kirby’s quest depending on the situation. His impartial nature is reflective of Capricorns, too.

10/12 Aquarius (January 20-February 18): Shulk (Xenoblade Chronicles)

One of Aquariuses’ driving desires is to be different, which is why they may feel a connection to Shulk from the Xenoblade Chronicles. Shulk is distinct from his fellow Homs by his ability to wield the Monado, the legendary blade of his world, with power that exceeds all other weapons.

The Monado can’t be wielded by just anyone, which makes Shulk unique and important, which Aquariuses strive to be as well. Shulk also tends to be independent, spending a good deal of time on his own and trying to hide his burdens from others at first, yet another trait he shares with Aquariuses.

9/12 Pisces (February 19-March 20): Olimar (Pikmin)

Pisces are gentle, kind souls who easily make friends with all they meet. For that reason, Captain Olimar, the lead for the Pikmin series, suits them well. Olimar, in his various quests, earns the Pikmins’ trust naturally and works with them to progress through his missions.

Olimar is also inventive and curious, much like the creative Pisces, using the Pikmins’ unique gifts to help him. Pisces also have a mystical, whimsical nature, which matches the aesthetic of Olimar and the entire Pikmin series art style.

8/12 Aries (March 21-April 19): Frye (Splatoon)

Aries are determined individuals with a rebellious spirit. Their boldness is also reflected in Frye from the Splatoon series. Introduced in Splatoon 3, Frye is one of the band members of Deep Cut. Her bright yellow colors and unique style pair well with Aries’ fiery nature.

Aries also like being in charge, another thing they share in common with Frye. In the single-player story campaign, Frye is one of the bosses, determined to keep Alterna’s treasure for herself and her band. This stubbornness is reflective of Aries, too.

7/12 Taurus (April 20-May 20): Samus (Metroid)

Tauruses are known for their grit and relentlessness, traits that also describe Samus Aran, the bounty hunter protagonist from the Metroid series. Samus is one of the most accomplished Nintendo heroes, fighting against aliens with immense courage and determination. She is unstoppable, much like Tauruses are in their pursuits.

Tauruses are also loyal, which Samus also reflects. Her desire for revenge on Ridley and the Space Pirates for the deaths of her parents reflects this, along with the countless times she jumps into action to save or help those in need.

6/12 Gemini (May 21-June 21): Zelda (The Legend Of Zelda)

Princess Zelda, like the main hero of The Legend of Zelda, Link, has appeared in many different incarnations. In her Breath of the Wild version, she is most relatable to Geminis, as she is incredibly curious about the mysteries of the Sheikah Slate and the Divine Beasts.

As Geminis are symbolized by the Twin, they often have two conflicting sides. This is true of Breath of the Wild’s Zelda as well, as she presents herself as confident and determined while also battling her inner despair about her lack of powers.

5/12 Cancer (June 22-July 22): Bowser (Super Mario Bros.)

Cancers have a flair for the dramatic, often driven by their intense emotions and passion. This seems true of Bowser, the big bad from the Super Mario Bros. series, as well. Not only does Bowser have a (literally) fiery temper, but he also demonstrates deep care for Bowser Jr. through a few schemes that are directly connected to providing the best life possible for his son.

Bowser’s relentless pursuit of Princess Peach also speaks to his unstoppable drive. Cancers, when emotionally invested, can’t easily give up their goals, much like Bowser.

4/12 Leo (July 23-August 22): Pit (Kid Icarus)

Leos crave the spotlight and would make perfect video game protagonists. Among the Nintendo cast, angel Pit, the hero of Kid Icarus, is the ideal pick for Leos. Though small, Pit is mighty, fearlessly launching into battle whenever the need arises. Leos would find this courage admirable, as they are also brave.

Both Pit and Leos exude confidence and have a great sense of humor. Pit is also famously chipper and upbeat, even annoying other characters with his cheerfulness. This is similar to Leos’ own bright personalities, too.

3/12 Virgo (August 23-September 22): Professor Oak (Pokemon)

Virgos would make excellent Pokemon Professors, given their knack for details and methodical nature. Professor Oak, the first professor of the series, is a legend in the Pokemon world. His iconic status in Pokemon makes him the perfect choice for Virgos, who excel at everything they set out to accomplish.

Pokemon research takes intense organization skills, which Virgos naturally possess. Their value for structure would equip them to build the best possible Pokedex. Like Professor Oak, Virgos’ calm demeanor would make them excellent mentors to young Pokemon trainers.

2/12 Libra (September 23-October 23): Corrin (Fire Emblem)

Since Libras generally prefer peace and avoid conflict when possible, Fire Emblem might feel like a strange choice. Yet Corrin, from Fire Emblem Fates, does reflect the Libras’ desire to make and keep the peace, depending on how you play their story.

While Birthright and Conquest both end tragically, the true ending of the Revelation path demonstrates Corrin’s ability to bridge the divide between the Hoshido and the Nohr. Corrin shows impartiality by not picking either side, which ends up bringing the warring families together. Libras will appreciate Corrin’s story arc due to their knack for mediation.

1/12 Scorpio (October 24-November 21): Tom Nook (Animal Crossing)

Scorpios are known for their cunning and ambition. While those words may not be the first descriptors that come to mind to describe Animal Crossing’s Tom Nook, they do suit him very well. After all, Tom Nook holds you under his thumb in each Animal Crossing game through the debts you owe him.

His business strategies in each Animal Crossing installment paint him as a shrewd businessman, or rather, business-raccoon, which is right up the Scorpios’ alley. Plus, there’s something just slightly devious about Tom Nook, which Scorpios will also resonate with.
