World of Warcraft has hundreds of mounts, with many being incredibly unique. Not only that but the ways each one is acquired also vary. Some require you to grind reputation, quests, or achievements, while others can simply be purchased with either in-game gold or real-life currency. You'll also find class, faction, and profession specific mounts, as well as incredibly rare drops.
No mount has been excluded in our search to find the most fitting option for you, whatever your star sign. It may be a land mount, flying mount, or class mount. So sit back, relax and get ready to grind for the mount that fits your Zodiac sign.
Aries (March 21 – April 19) – Crimson Gladiator's Drake
Aries is an ambitious fire sign who loves to be number one. They are motivated, driven, and up for any challenge, always striving to come out on top. Therefore, the best fit for them is surely one of the Arena Rewards, in this seasons' case, the Crimson Gladiator's Drake. In order to claim these PVP mounts you need to reach a 2400+ Arena ranking and win 50 matches at this level, which requires a huge amount of dedication and skill.
PVP battles are sure to bring out the competitive side of Aries and this first arena season reward for Dragonflight is especially fitting. A sign of skill, a rare prize, and a fiery design? There was only one choice here.
Taurus (April 20 – May 20) – Silverwind Larion
Taurus' love a bit of luxury and the Silverwind Larion just oozes style and sophistication. It's a rare treasure and this adds to the decadence sure to appeal. It's also a beautiful way to travel over land or through the air, admiring the more serene and scenic areas of Azeroth. There are also two ways to obtain the mount, so you can choose your preferred pathway and take a shortcut.
For Taurus' who love a beautiful walk, you can explore Bastion collecting the 50 unique Anima Crystal Shards. These can then be crafted into a Crystal Mallet of Heralds that opens the Vesper treasure and releases the mount. A mount released by a Mallet crafted from the earth is a nice nod to the earth sign, and for those who want to skip straight to the fun part, you can purchase a boost to get the Mallet for actual cash.
Gemini (May 21 – June 20) – Darkmoon Dancing Bear
Geminis are known for being playful, spontaneous and often erratic. Prone to jumping from one thing to another, they have an insatiable curiosity and love of anything unique. So what could be more fitting than the Darkmoon Dancing Bear? This adorable mount is often seen in groups and looks just like many other mounts.
Despite "twinning" (sorry, I couldn't resist) with other bear mounts, the Darkmoon Dancing Bear has a spontaneous and adorable side it displays by dancing for others at random moments. It's purchased with Darkmoon Prize Tickets and is a great way to add some character to events. Who doesn't love a random dancing bear display?
Cancer (June 21 – July 22) – Winterspring Frostsaber
Cancers are highly intuitive and said to be connected to both emotional and material realms. This represented well with the Winterspring Frostsaber that appears as if it exists in both a physical and non-physical way. Its unique appearance as an almost etheral being is sure to appeal to Cancers who are often said to be sensitive to psychic phenomenon.
The final link is in the quest that requires you to take care of the Frostsaber from a cub, building a bond with it. Cancers are often guarded emotionally and need to build bonds before opening up, so this fits perfectly.
Leo (July 23 – August 22) – Spectral Pterrorwing
Leos are the most passionate, loyal and dramatic of the star signs and what better fit than an incredibly unique mount that requires a long quest chain and some intense grinding to be completed in order to procure it?
The Spectral Pterrowing is only available to Horde characters who reach Exalted with the Zandalari Empire then purchase it for 90k gold. It's unlike anything else, will be sure to stand out in a crowd, and shows your loyalty to a faction most people don't care about.
Virgo (August 23 – September 22) – Turbo-Charged Flying Machine
Virgos are known for being logical, practical and systematic. They are also perfectionists. Nothing shows these traits more than the incredibly practical Turbo-Charged Flying Machine. While you'll need an engineer to craft and use it, the mount offers a beautiful display of carefully crafted machinery.
There's nothing more logical and practical than a mechanical flying machine in a world full of dragons, rays and all manner of mythical creatures.
Libra (September 23 – October 22) – High Priest's Lightsworn Seeker
The High Priest's Lightsworn Seeker, a Priest class mount, requires some dedication to get but perfectly encompasses everything Libras stand for. There's balance and harmony in the way the appearance manifests to correspond with the Priest's specialisation, and it always perfectly fits.
Priests in general are a class focused on balance, justice and equilibrium, able to flex in order to attack, protect, or heal. A class and a mount perfectly suited to a Libra.
Scorpio (October 23 – November 21) – Mighty Caravan Brutosaur
Scorpios are known for being mysterious, elusive and complicated and the Mighty Caravan Brutosaur fits all these criteria. It's now only available on the Black Market, and you'll need a lot of gold, and luck to procure it. It's certainly one of the more elusive mounts in the game.
When it comes to being complicated it also fits that criteria due to having an auctioneer and merchant on the back. What can be more complicated than trying to navigate the auction house on the go?
Sagittarius (November 22 – December 21) – Kua'fon
Sagittarius' are uniquely suited for any mount that requires a quest chain to be completed in order to ride it. Thanks to their thirst for knowledge and desire to seek adventure they are sure to want to undertake a challenge in order to reap the rewards.
We chose Kua'fon simply because How to Ptrain Your Pterrordax is a fantastic name for an achievement linked to a quest chain that rewards a mount. Also, you have to be horde to get it, and we are horde biased.
Capricorn (December 22 – January 19) – Heavenly Onyx Cloud Serpent
In a similar vein to Sagittarius, Capricorn's are the epitome of patience, perseverance, and dedication. Therefore, we've selected a mount that requires all these qualities in order to procure it. Enter the Heavenly Onyx Cloud Serpent.
This mount drops from the Sha of Anger, and has an extremely low drop rate. Your progress will also be hindered by the fact that you can only kill this boss once a week. Patience is an understatement.
Aquarius (January 20 – February 18) – Wooly Mammoth
Aquarius' are often described as innovative, progressive, and revolutionary. Therefore, the most perfect fit is surely the most revolutionary mount in the game, The Wooly Mammoth. This vendor mount, purchased in Dalaran, was the very first to offer repairs on the go and was a huge deal when it was first introduced.
Sure there are alternatives now, but everyone knows that having a Wooly Mammoth when Lich King raids first came around meant that you were a god amongst raiders.
Pisces (February 19 – March 20) – Yu'lei, Daughter Of Jade
Pisces are seen as intuitive, sensitive, and empathetic. They need a mount that evokes these qualities and Yu'lei just feels like it matches a Pisces personality.
It's an ethereal looking mount that requires you to navigate several Timewalking Raids in order to procure it. This means you'll need to show knowledge and skill, something else Pisces are known for.
