Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord Single-Player Campaign Detailed

Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord is currently in early access as the team over at TaleWorlds is busy fine-tuning the mechanics, like with the recent e1.2.0 update, before its full release. For players enjoying Steam’s biggest release this year, and those waiting to get into the action, TaleWorlds has now detailed its plans for single-player and engine improvements.

Some of the most significant changes come from players having the option to create a new Kingdom separate from the main storyline. This will be possible in a sandbox mode that will allow you to create your policies and declare war or make peace with other kingdoms.

The story for the single-player will also receive more content along with improvements to the map conversation, hideout, and simulation health systems.

There will be an overhaul of the AI programming for combat missions to improve the order of the battle system and the order user interface. While overall performance will be optimized to fix bugs and add more dynamic battle effects such as cheering that reflects the current state of battle.

Notable engine changes fix spikes throughout the game, FPS improvements for big field & siege battle, replay Editor, and modding tools & documentation. You can check out the full roadmap here, and discover all the plans for Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord before heading into glorious battle.
