The Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater series inspires more nostalgia than most games of its era. It’s been five years since the last THPS game, and Pro Skater 5 was seriously underwhelming. Activision has heard the calls from fans and is set to release a remastered bundle featuring Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 on September 4 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC as an Epic Games Store exclusive. The remaster is already available to pre-order on PC and Xbox One, and PS4 pre-orders shouldn’t be far behind. The game includes a couple of special editions, including a surprisingly affordable and very cool Collector’s Edition.
Rebuilt from the ground up by Vicarious Visions, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 will have all of the great levels, skaters, and modes you remember, rendered in modern graphics with an updated list of tricks. Some of the music from the original games’ beloved soundtracks will return, including Goldfinger’s “Superman.” The remasters will only be sold as a bundle. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 pre-order bonus
If you pre-order the Pro Skater 1 + 2 remaster, you’ll gain access to a demo of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater’s Warehouse, the level that introduced players to the arcade skateboarding game more than 20 years ago. Activision hasn’t announced when the demo will be available, but you’ll be able to get a taste of the new-look THPS prior to its official launch.
There’s also an exclusive pre-order bonus available at GameStop, where you’ll get a Tony Hawk mini fingerboard with your game (on top of demo access).
Pre-order Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 standard edition | $40
The standard edition of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 comes with the base game and pre-order bonus for $40. Physical copies are available at major retailers, and digital storefronts are opening pre-orders as well. Please note that the PlayStation Store hasn’t opened pre-orders yet.

The Deluxe Edition of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 will cost you $50 and comes with the base game, pre-order bonus, and following in-game goodies:
- “The Ripper” skater from Powell-Peralta
- Retro outfits for Tony Hawk, Rodney Mullen, and Steve Caballero
- Retro content for Create-A-Skater mode

Pre-order Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 Collector’s Edition | $100
A $100 Collector’s Edition is up for grabs on PS4 and Xbox One. It comes with a limited-edition Birdhouse deck, the base game, all of the Deluxe Edition goodies, and the pre-order bonus. The deck is fully skateable, but as this is a collector’s item with a printed autograph from Tony Hawk, you may not want to hit the streets with it.
It’s currently sold out at all major retailers, but could come back in stock before launch.
