PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is out now on Google Stadia

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is out now on Stadia. Google announced the arrival of PUBG Corp’s hit battle royale game on Tuesday during its Stadia Connect event.

The Stadia version of the game will be called PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds – Pioneer Edition. This new edition of the game will come with the standard PUBG game, as well as the newly released Survivor Pass: Cold Front, and a set of Stadia exclusive skins.

PUBG will be free to access for any Stadia Pro subscribers as soon as the Stadia Connect event ends. Because everything is handled via streaming, rather than through downloads, players with Stadia Pro can jump into PUBG for Stadia immediately. For other players who don’t have Stadia Pro, the Pioneer Edition of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds will cost $39.99.

This is the fourth new platform for PUBG, following the PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. A Stadia rep has confirmed with Polygon that this version of the game will support cross-platform with players on other consoles.

During the same Stadia Connect event where PUBG’s arrival was announced, Google also debuted 10 more Stadia games, including several from Electronic Arts like Madden and FIFA, which will both be coming later this winter, and Star Wars: Jedi: Fallen Order, which comes out this fall.
