Ubisoft announces E3 2021 event

Ubisoft Forward will return as part of E3 2021, Ubisoft announced on Thursday. Like last year’s event, Ubisoft Forward 2021 will be a digital press briefing, and will showcase a variety of upcoming Ubisoft titles. The event will stream on Saturday, June 12, at 3 p.m. EDT.

Ubisoft did not specify which games will appear at this year’s Ubisoft Forward. But fans can likely expect new trailers for titles like Far Cry 6 and Riders Republic. Ubisoft will likely announce new content for its various ongoing games as well, like Rainbow Six Siege, Hyper Scape, and The Division 2. It’s also possible that we could hear more about Ubisoft Massive’s new Star Wars title, which was announced in January.

In Ubisoft’s 2020 showcase — which also premiered on June 12 — the company unveiled Far Cry 6 and showed off new gameplay from Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Hyper Scape. Far Cry 6 seems like the most likely candidate for a long gameplay showcase in 2021.

Ubisoft is the first major publisher to announce an E3 2021 showcase. E3 2021 will be a purely digital event this year, and it starts June 12.
