Crysis 4 Announced By Crytek
It turns out the leaks were true and that the Crysis series will be getting a new game almost a decade after the last installment. The news was shared by Crytek via the developer's official YouTube channel with a very short trailer suggesting Crysis 4 may be a lot darker than previous entries. We don't know the release date, with the game still in "early development" according to Crytek CEO Avni Yerli, but it's nice to have confirmation that series is still kicking.
Mortal Kombat Sequel Is In Development, Moon Knight Writer On Board
It was also announced today that 2021's Mortal Kombat film will be getting a sequel, and that Moon Knight writer Jeremy Slater is on board. We haven't been given any details on what the film's story will be or when it will premiere, but those who watched the first film will likely expect Johnny Cage to make an appearance. There's also the possibility that this could be the movie The Rock mentioned yesterday, claiming that he was working on another video game movie adaptation, but wouldn't specify the franchise.
Steam Deck Is Set To Launch February 25
We've finally got a release date for the highly-anticipated Steam Deck today, with the console now expected to launch on February 25. Those who reserved a console back when it was first announced will start to receive emails allowing them to purchase it. Be aware that the reservation only lasts for three days before being passed on to someone else, so make sure you circle the date in your calendar. Consoles will then ship on February 28 and hopefully soon be in the hands of eager PC fans instead of a scalper.

XboxEra co-founder Nick Baker claims he's heard rumblings of another Xbox IP getting the "Master Chief Collection treatment." Of course, to do so would require a series with a few already released titles, and long-running franchises like Gears and Fable seem poised for remasters.
