Dota 2: EG, Fnatic and OG Are Going to Dota Summit 12

These are the first three teams announced that will be heading out to the event.

Even though we are just one day away from the third Minor of this DPC, we already have important information about the next tournament. Dota Summit 12 will take place in just a couple of days, right after the Minor comes to an end. This will be a sort of a “bootcamp” before the Los Angeles Major begins.

Who are the first teams going there?

After patiently waiting for a couple of weeks, we finally know the names of the first three teams that will attend this event. The first one is Evil Geniuses, a team that’s currently very hot, especially after the roster changes. An interesting fact is that EG has two trophies from this tournament. This definitely makes them one of the favorites for this Summit as well.

The second team that’s going to attend this event is Fnatic. The SEA powerhouse hasn’t had the best results in this DPC season, however, it is slowly but steadily starting to show its real prowess.

Last, but definitely not least, we have the two-times TI champions – OG. Despite the fact that the European champions have a different roster right now, they are still very strong after we clearly saw it in the last qualifiers. After Syed Sumail “SumaiL” Hassan, Martin “Saksa” Sazdov and Yeik “MidOne” Nai Zheng joined the team, OG has successfully qualified for the LA Major, which is not easy at all, especially in Europe. Having said that, this will be the first tournament for the new roster, so we can’t wait to see what will happen.

The tournament

The Dota 2 Summit 12 will gather a total of six teams who will be playing for a $150K USD prize pool. The event itself will take place between the 10th and the 13th of March. Be sure to follow us for more information about this tournament.
