The event kicked off yesterday and plans to end tomorrow, May 5. Many fans recognize May 4 as a day to celebrate the four-decade-old franchise. “May the Fourth be with you” serves as a play-on-words of Obi-Wan Kenobi’s famous line, “May the Force be with you.” As Fortnite is known for creating crossovers with famous pop culture references, it makes sense for them to revisit Star Wars for this date.

In the past, Fortnite has created The Rise of Skywalker crossover skins such as Kylo Ren, Rey, Finn, and more. It also included cosmetic items, such as the Millennium Falcon Glider. Then, there was an Imperial Stormtrooper outfit added right before the launch of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. This time, though, Fortnite is simply hosting a “galactic celebration” to recognize May 4.

Here are the Star Wars items you can expect to find during this Fortnite event.
- Famous Resistance fighters

- Purple Lightsaber (Mace Windu)
- Blue Lightsaber (Rey)
- Crossguard red Lightsaber (Kylo Ren)
- Multiple outfits such as Rey, Kylo Ren, and Sith Troopers

No longer granting experience points
Additionally, the lightsaber challenges have also returned to Fortnite. However, according to dataminer iFireMonkey, they will no longer grant experience points. Instead, they will only be counted as achievements. This is mostly due to a change in the game’s coding since Season 11. Regardless, players can still enjoy most of the challenges if they want.
The Star Wars event ends May 5, so Epic encourages players to participate as much as they can so they don’t miss out on all the exclusive items.
