Fortnite is getting the Flash, according to a leak

The Flash could be arriving in Fortnite soon. Epic Games hasn’t officially confirmed the skin, but data-miners have found in-game files and artwork that indicate the hero will come to the battle royale alongside a tournament later this week.

This isn’t the first time that a superhero skin is coming alongside a special tournament. The Marvel Knockout Super Series, a mode that had players fighting eachother with special superhero abilities, brought heroes like Black Widow, Ghost Rider, Daredevil, and Venom to the battle royale. Winners of those events got the skins early, so we could see something similar happen with the Flash and The Flash Cup.

The Flash speeds his way into Fortnite

The skin will be the reward for the top placements in various regions in the upcoming The Flash Cup. Previous tournaments had players in the top 500 spots in Europe and top 200 in Western North America earn the prize. Tournament rules should be included in the announcement when Epic Games makes the skin official. According to data-miner @iFireMonkey, the tournament will feature a duos format and take place on February 10.

The Flash is the first DC character to receive his own tournament, but not the first DC character we’ve seen in Fortnite. Batman, Harley Quinn, The Joker, Catwoman, and Poison Ivy have all come to the battle royale through the item shop. Aquaman was also added as a special, one-off skin during the ocean-themed season 3 last year. DC skins have all come at random times while Marvel ones, including Groot, Wolverine, and Iron man, mostly flooded in season 4.

This skin is most likely coming to the battle royale to promote the seventh season of the Flash show starring Grant Gustin. It premieres on the CW on March  2, 2021. There’s still no official announcement from Epic Games regarding the Flash skin, but that should hopefully come soon. Stay tuned to Daily Esports for all Fortnite news.
