Gambit topple Alliance to go unbeaten into the Minor playoffs

StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor Season 3 continued today with
Group B also finding its first team to make it into the playoffs, after Team Aster
secured the Group A first seed spot.

Technically Group B could have been considered the tougher of the two with Alliance, Gambit Esports, CR4ZY and NoPing e-sports all fighting it out for a chance to reach the Major. However, after the first batch of series for the group, it was clear that Alliance and Gambit were the ones to watch as they both made rather quick and easy work of their opponents to secure a winner’s series against one another.

While Alliance were definitely considered the tournament favourites to many, due to their decent finishes in previous events this season, Gambit had the home-ground advantage behind them – and an amazing will to fight. The first game of the series was an absolutely brutal slaughter from Gambit as they marched over Alliance with ease. Nothing changed in the next game as Gambit just ran over Alliance once again. It was less than half an hour gone when the squad had already dropped two lanes of barracks and not long after that, the GG was thrown in by Alliance.

While Alliance are not down and out from the event just yet,
tomorrow they face some grueling elimination series to stay afloat. For Gambit,
they continue unbeaten through Group B and make their way into the playoffs of
the StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor Season 3 Minor.

The action kicks off again tomorrow from Kiev as the group stages come to a close with the three remaining teams of each group requiring some essential victories to move forward into the playoffs and avoid elimination.
