It was a day of sweeps at the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang M2 World Championship with all four matches consisting of 2-0 victories. Both Filipino teams suffered losses in today’s upper bracket debut. Omega Esports were swept by the Indonesian titans of RRQ Hoshi while BREN Esports suffered a 2-0 loss at the hands of Myanmar’s Burmese Ghouls.
Alter Ego were able to keep their dream alive with a 2-0 win over 10S Gaming Frost, eliminating the Japanese team. Todak, the MPL-MY/SG champions defeated their rivals in EVOS SG in convincing fashion to keep the dream alive and ruin the chances of a repeat title for EVOS.
Saturday will feature a rematch between Alter Ego and BREN Esports with one team going home. BREN Esports took the win in their last meeting but it looks to have lit a fire under Alter Ego.
