PGL confirms Singapore Major first LAN of the year coming at the end of March

ONE Esports Singapore Major 2021 will mark the return to LAN tournaments for Dota 2 scene after a 14 month break enforced by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Organized in partnership with ONE Esports and Singapore Tourism Board, the first Major of the 2021 Dota Pro Circuit will be hosted by PGL and will run with a total of 18 teams fighting in a LAN setup March 25 – April 4 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

“We are pleased to come back to Singapore for another great tournament after the Dota 2 Singapore Invitational 2019. PGL is honored to present the first Major of Winter 21 DPC, which will occur in one of the safest places possible – Singapore. After running The Manila Major and The Kuala Lumpur Major, we are now returning with another memorable event in Southeast Asia. We are committed to this region with a strategic partnership with Singapore’s primary trade association for esports; the Singapore Games Association (SGGA), and we are more than happy to run great events for SEA and Dota 2 over and over again,” said Silviu Stroie, PGL CEO in the official announcement.

No information regarding audience access was revealed just yet, but even with Singapore being regarded as one of the most “safe” countries in the world right now, it is very likely that the tournament will be held in a bubble format with either limited seating or no live audience at all.
