Riot Games Reports 70% Viewership Increase for LEC Summer Finals

League of Legends publisher Riot Games has reported viewership figures for the Summer Finals match between G2 Esports and Fnatic that capped off the LEC’s 2020 season. The match reached an average minute audience of 819.4K, which Riot reports is a 70% increase over the 2019 finals.

Additionally, the competition reached a peak concurrent viewership of 952K, up 16.7% year-over-year.

Finally, Riot reported that hours watched across the full Summer Split reached 40M – the most of any season for the European league and a year-over-year increase of 85%. Midway through the regular season, the company had reported an 81% jump in AMA viewership this year.
