Following the departure of their captain, Lee “Forev” Sang-don from the team at the end of July, T1 welcome aboard the Filipino offlaner Samson “Sam_H” Hidalgo.
Sam_H joined Neon Esports on a trial basis mid-July, but less than a month later he suddenly ended his stint with the team without giving any hints on his future plans. Neon Esports revealed back then that as much as they would have liked to continue with him, Sam_H decided to join another team. Neon continued their run through the Omega League Asia Divine division with a stand-in and are now one series away from the grand finals.
In the meantime, Sam_H has quietly practiced with the South Korean organization T1 and today he was announced to have joined the squad in full capacity.
T1 roster from position 1 to 5:
- Galvin “Meracle” Kang Jian Wen
- Muhammad “inYourdreaM” Rizky
- Samson “Sam_H” Hidalgo
- Tri “Jhocam” Kuncoro
- Wilson “Poloson” Koh Chin Wei
He will make his debut with T1 this week in the group stage of ESL One Thailand. The group seeding hasn’t been announced yet by ESL, although the event is set to start tomorrow, August 20. However, the competition promises to be really interesting to follow as Geek Fam announced earlier today that they will be playing with Azel “Abed” Yusop standin-in in the carry position, while T1’s former captain, Forev will stand in for Fnatic, as Daryl Koh “iceiceice“ Pei Xiang decided to take a break until the restart of the Dota Pro Circuit.
