Another CS:GO professional has left the scene to seek what they see as greener pastures in the new Riot Games first-person shooter, VALORANT. Victor “food” Wong has departed Swole Patrol to pursue VALORANT it has been revealed.
It is expected that food will be joining former CS:GO professionals Braxton “brax” Pierce, Keven “AZK” Larivière, and Austin “crashies” Roberts on the T1 VALORANT roster according to dust2.us.
Ryan “freakazoid” Abadir broke the news via Twitter and claims his roster’s inability to find an organization to support them was the cause for the move. He once again reiterated that his team was in need of an organization and due to not having one, now in need of a fifth player.
food joined Swole Patrol in January 2019 but was scooped up by United alongside Anthony “vanity” Malaspina and Edgar “MarKE” Maldonado just a month later. He would find his way back to the Swole Patrol brand following eUnited’s release in March.
The Swole Patrol lineup failed to qualify for ESL One: Road to Rio and DreamHack Masters Spring and therefore are vying for support with what looks like an empty schedule in terms of events. This is certainly not helping the lineups chances.
