Team Secret obliterate Team Liquid in OGA Dota PIT grand finals

Team Secret are back on an 18-0 win streak after claiming yet another tournament trophy with a clean 3-0 sweep in the grand finals.

OGA Dota PIT Online 2020 Europe and CIS competition came to an end on Saturday evening with Team Secret completely dominating Team Liquid. Game one started with Max “qojqva” Bröcker’s staple Broodmother and a long time forgotten support Zeus from Liquid, and although the early laning stage went in Liquid’s favor, courtesy of the strong lane presence from Brood, Team Secret were able to turn it around on the back of a Radiance build on Ember Spirit and perfect team fight positioning from Michał “Nisha” Jankowski on Templar Assassin.

Going into the second game, Liquid tried to play around the Vengeful Spirit and Drow Ranger auras. They paired the two heroes in the offlane hoping to be a nuisance for Lasse “MATUMBAMAN” Urpalainen’s Monkey King, but Secret avoided the lane matchup and placed Ludwig “zai” Wåhlberg in the safe lane on Dragon knight. He died early, giving the first blood to Liquid, but that was pretty much the only big victory for them. The game took a wild turn once the DK hit level six and was able to start the tower siege with a little help from Clement “Puppey” Ivanov’s Chen calling him in any lane he was needed to help with the push. Liquid couldn’t deal with the constant pressure and collapse in just 18 minutes.

Game three started much better for them, but Secret once again got away with a draft tailored for taking early objectives. Nisha got to play a mid lane Beastmaster, MATUMBAMAN was on Lone Druid, while Puppey was providing the extra jungle creeps with his Enchantress. Liquid’s draft looked the best around the 10 minute mark when the first big clash happened in the mid lane. However, they were dependent on the Mars and Death Prophet ultimates, while their opponents were ready to fight at all times and could not be stopped from claiming a flawless 3-0 victory.
