Paris-based esports organization Team Vitality has hired Bruno Martini as its new esports general manager. Martini, a former professional handball player who represented France twice at the Olympics, joins Team Vitality from Paris Saint-Germain, where he spent the last eight years managing the club’s handball team.
Team Vitality said in a release that it has brought Martini on to build a new “performance structure” for all players across all of its rosters including implementing physical and mental wellness, nutrition, and stress management programs. Martini will be based in Paris and work at V.Hive and V.Performance, Team Vitality’s training facility. He will also “travel with players for major events, and spend time in Berlin working with the LEC and LFL teams.”
Team Vitality competes in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, League of Legends, FIFA 21, Rocket League, and Rainbow Six: Siege. It has also established a roster in India made up of top players and content creators.
It has been a busy January for the French esports organization: This month it signed partnership deals with Garmin, ALDI France, Schott, Incept, and Philips Monitors.
