Ukrainian esports tournament organizer WePlay! announced it will facilitate a new Dota 2 league, WePlay! Pushka League. The league is set to start on April 23 and run through March 29, with a $250K USD prize pool. Fourteen teams from Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) have been invited, including The International 2019 champion, OG.
WePlay! Announced that the format for the event would see two groups of seven compete in round-robin play so that the top four teams in each group advances. From there, the top four from each region will advance to a double-elimination playoff bracket, with the winner taking home the largest share of the $250K prize pool.
Participating teams from Europe include Alliance, Team Liquid, Team Nigma, Ninjas in Pyjamas, OG, Team Secret, and others to be announced. Teams participating from CIS include B8, Gambit Esports, HellRaisers, Natus Vincere, Team Spirit, Virtus.Pro, and others to be announced at a later date.
The WePlay! Pushka League will be broadcast on WePlay!’s Twitch channel.
