The first season of the WePlay! Pushka League has been completed and surprise surprise – Team Secret demolished everything in their path to take home the trohpy (well, they can’t really take the trophy home, maybe WePlay! will send them a high resolution photo of the trophy?). The grand final was a one sided affair with Team Secret comfortably beating VP.Prodigy 3-0. Division 1 of the league saw some amazing Dota being played over the course of four weeks, with separate leagues for EU and CIS culminating in a combined playoff bracket. A total of 136 games were played in the division 1 tournament. Let’s look at the team and hero statistics for the event.

The beautiful part about the WePlay! Pushka League is that because EU and CIS have their separate groups during the group stages, the best from both regions can flourish and make it to the playoffs. VP.Prodigy’s story is one to take note of. We will be a seeing a lot more of them in the tournaments to come. The other great thing (and this one probaly is more important) is that there is a division 2 as well, which gives tier 2 teams the opportunity to earn some prize money and make it to division 1 if they end up on top. Vikin.gg (EU) and Team Unique (CIS) will be promoted and will have the honour of playing in division 1, while OG Seed and B8 will be relegated to division 2.
The first iteration of the WePlay Pushka League was a success and hopefully, the league will have many more seasons in the days ahead. All over the globe, things have been tough due to quarantine and restrictions, but online Dota 2 events like the WePlay! Pushka League help make the days a bit brighter. There’s a lot more Dota 2 to look forward to as well as, you guessed it, the release of the Battle Pass! Stay healthy, stay safe and take good care of yourselves till then.
