The Esports and Gaming division of Ford Models Inc. has signed WNBA champion and gaming influencer Aerial “POWERzSURGE” Powers. Powers, who won a WNBA championship in 2019, plays for the Washington Mystics. Powers has also played basketball professionally across the globe and is an avid gamer who has commentated for the NBA 2K League on ESPN 2. Additionally, Powers is a Twitch streamer who plays a variety of titles including NBA 2K, Apex Legends, Call of Duty, and VALORANT.
Powers is a member of the Global Esports Federation’s Athletes and Players Commission and also serves as a brand ambassador for the Health-e-Gamer Foundation and eFuse. She is an advocate for promoting a healthy gaming lifestyle and aims to make gaming a more inclusive space for women and people of color. Recently, she announced the All- Female “Powerz Up” NBA 2K20 Tournament hosted by Levels Unlocked Enterprises and Aerial Powers. The tournament is presented by Starburst and HyperX on the World Gaming Network.
