Call of Duty Modern Warfare update: Where are the Bunkers in Warzone, Red Access Card?

Without providing any official guidance on the situation, Infinity Ward has made it possible to access the Call of Duty Warzone Bunkers today.

This was a secret part of the latest Modern Warfare update but it comes with a few catches.

While players are now able to access new areas of the Warzone map, you first need to know where they are and you will also need a special item.

This makes it all the harder to get into them but the number of locations on the Warzone map should make it possible for everyone to check it out, if they get the chance to grab a Red Access Card.

WHERE ARE THE WARZONE BUNKERS AND DO I NEED A RED ACCESS CARD?

According to gamers playing Call of Duty today, the Warzone Bunkers are now open but require a Red Access Card. Over 10 locations for Warzone bunkers spread across the map have been found so far, filled with enough loot in them to make it worth a visit.

Finding the locations will probably require a little time as they are hard to spot on the map screen. So to help track them down, here are the general locations you will need to explore on the map to find them.

  • North West – Promenade West
  • North West – Boneyard Bunkers
  • South side of D2 – the Dam road
  • South of the Military Base
  • The Railroad tunnel at H3
  • North East of Stadium – two locations
  • The base of the rock at Prison bottom right on map screen
  • South of Park along the coastline
  • North West of Military Base Mountains.

There is also a map being circulated for where to find the Warzone Bunker locations, which can be found above. It should also be noted that only Bunkers with a green light above its door can be opened during a game.

And when it comes to actually opening these new bunker locations, you will need a Red Access Card.

And the only way to get one of these is by finding one in a Legendary Chest, or by looting it off another player. If you do manage to get into a Warzone Bunker, you should find plenty of cash, weapons and Scorestreaks for your troubles.

The opening of the Warzone Bunkers may remain limited in helping you win a game but they do appear to include some hints for the future.

According to those exploring each Bunker, a nuclear weapon has been found in Bunker 11.

And this would fit in with an earlier leak that suggests the current map will be destroyed in a nuclear attack in the future.

There has been speculation whether this event will happen during the launch of Modern Warfare Season 4.

More news is expected to be shared and further Easter eggs released, in the coming weeks.
