Christine McGuinness Admits How Hard Quarantine Is for Her Three Autistic Children

A mother of three, Christine McGuinness, revealed how hard it is to feed her autistic kids due to limitations amid Coronavirus pandemic.

She said that two of her children have ‘barely eaten’ in three weeks because she is not able to buy them McDonald’s since the lockdown started.

The six-year-old twins Leo and Penelope, and three-year-old Felicity are struggling through self-isolation, along with their parents.

Christine posted a snap of McDonald’s bags and wrote in the caption: “The one meal all three of my children would eat @mcdonalds we miss you!”

“I never thought I would wish for fast food for my children but as I expected the changes have affected them and two of my children are barely eating, it’s been like this for over 3 weeks now,” she continued.

“McDs is a ‘safe’ food, it always looks the same, it tastes the same, the texture and smell is always the same.. and it’s beige and dry! sending love if you are in the same situation right now!” McGuinness explained.

“Many children and adults with autism have a very restricted diet, the variation of food they eat is quite often extremely limited,” she clarified.

Raising autistic kids is not easy, but the 32-year-old and her husband, Paddy McGuinness, are doing their best.
