Destiny 2's Season of the Seraph has a new upgrade track that unlocks new Umbral Focusing options, grants additional seasonal currency, and even guarantees red borders for this season's new weapons. So long as you're willing to complete weekly Seasonal Challenges, finishing this season's upgrade grid should be fairly easy.
Compared to past upgrade grids, the Exo Frame has far more deterministic upgrades that make Pattern farming much easier. If you're looking to unlock all seasonal weapons for crafting, it should be much easier if you unlock all 17 upgrades. This guide will show you how to unlock the Exo Frame and its upgrade currency, and we'll show every upgrade tied to Season of the Seraph's activity vendor.
Unlocking The Exo Frame
The Exo Frame is unlocked upon completing the first few steps of the "More than a Weapon" quest. You'll receive this quest upon logging into Destiny 2 at any point during this season. Complete the introductory quest, Heist Battleground, and Operation: Archimedes mission to fully unlock this progression system. Once unlocked, make your way to the H.E.L.M. and visit the Exo Frame vendor to view your seasonal upgrade grid.

How Do I Upgrade The Exo Frame?
Visit the Exo Frame in the right-most wing of the H.E.L.M. to view its upgrade grid. To unlock an upgrade, you must first have an Exo Frame Module. This currency type drops from completing weekly Seasonal Challenges found in the "Quests" or "Season 19" tabs in your Director menu. Each week of Seasonal Challenges will give two Exo Frame Modules, time-gating all Exo Frame rewards.
Similar to the Star Chart from last season, Exo Frame upgrades are unlocked in a restricted sequence. For example, the second column of Exo Frame upgrades all require at least one upgrades to be purchased, forcing you to unlock one upgrade from the first column to access the second column. You'll need to invest six Exo Frame Modules to unlock all upgrade options. To finish the upgrade grid for this season, you'll need 17 Exo Frame Modules in total.
