Trials of Osiris is back this week, complete with new Adept weapons and Destiny 2 armour pieces to earn.

The hours are ticking down until Bungie brings back one of its most reliable events on PS4, Xbox and PC.

Destiny 2 Trials has undergone some tweaks and changes since it first launched, and it appears that Guardians are enjoying it again during Season of the Chosen.

For now, we don’t know what combo of Trials of Osiris rewards will be made available today, but we do know when it will be best to check it all out.

Destiny 2 fans will want to check back in at around 6pm BST to find out the latest news, including what map has been selected by Bungie.

The development team don’t provide information on the rewards on offer, so gamers will have to wait until their fellow Guardians have strung together some victories.

We also know that Saint-14 is the full-time Trials of Osiris vendor, residing in the Tower Hangar with his pigeons and ship.

And visiting him will be worth it for those who can smash through the Crucible and score some wins as Saint’s inventory updates with Trials Passages, Bounties, and the option to turn in Trials Tokens.

Some things have also stayed the same, with Bungie making sure that the Trials of Osiris playlist becomes active each week from Friday to Tuesday.

The map rotations continue each week, although Bungie has made changes to the weapons you can pick up during an event.

Last week saw Bungie offer the Astral Horizon as a three-win weapon, and the Shotgun’s Adept version as a Flawless reward.

But while the Trials of Osiris will be the main Crucible activity to complete during the weekend, another will be replacing it next week.

April 13 will see the return of the Destiny 2 Iron Banner, and the final for the Season of the Chosen.

The Iron Banner will start on April 13 at 10:00 AM PST and will end on April 20 at 10:00 AM PST.

This will mean that the next Iron Banner will crossover with next week’s Trials of Osiris.

A message from Bungie adds: “It’s almost time for the final Iron Banner of Season of the Chosen.

“This will be your last opportunity to complete the Iron Sharpens Iron Seasonal Challenge, so get in there and smash some heads! If you’re also trying to get your Power to 1325 for Grandmaster Nightfalls, don’t forget the four Pinnacle-powered weekly bounties that Saladin offers.

“A familiar Hand Cannon and Sniper Rifle will be rejoining the fight, but two new weapons are also making their debut. Our goals moving forward are to continue bringing some Year-1 weapons up to speed with random rolls, but also bringing some new rewards into the fold when possible.

“This always depends a bit on what resources we have for a given Season, but we’re looking forward to a few new Iron Banner-themed tools for your arsenal.

“Looking even further out, we’re planning new armor for Iron Banner. These sets won’t appear for a few Seasons, but we have heard your desire for some new digs. Once we have more information, we’ll let you know! Until then, we hope you enjoy the new weapons.”
