It looks like some DLC may be in works for Elden Ring as a dataminer has found what appears to be an entire coliseum sitting in an inaccessible part of the map. This completely furnished area looks poised for some type of multiplayer arena or DLC boss fight.
This area was discovered by manfightdragon over on Twitter. The player uploaded a video of them managing to reach the end of the map. They then push the game’s camera through the wall to discover the hidden area. As the camera explores, you can see a complete Roman-style coliseum just waiting to be fought in. Rows and rows of seats overlook a fighting pit, and two side chambers appear ready to hold waiting opponents. The ground is littered with swords, spears, and other armaments from fallen fighters. It feels like an epic background for some grand fight.
As the uploader suggests, this out-of-bounds area is likely for a multiplayer arena DLC of some sort. After all, a coliseum is generally the perfect place to test your skill against another fighter. However, it could also be waiting for a DLC boss fight of some kind. A packed arena would be a great place to take on a new DemiGod or fight an opposing Tarnished.
Whether the coliseum turns out to be a DLC add-on or something else entirely, it is clearly waiting to be used for something. After all, why would the game makers take the time to create an entire area of the map to not utilize? Though, stranger things have happened.
Elden Ring is currently all anyone is talking about. The latest title from FromSoftware has been receiving rave reviews from anyone and everyone that plays it. And pretty much everyone is playing it. The game has reached almost one million consecutive players on Steam in its second weekend of release. Not to mention that the game had the strongest first week of sales for any FromSoftware title. Naturally, this success will surely lead to add-ons and DLC of some kind. Whether or not that DLC involves the secret coliseum is anyone’s guess.
