Elden Ring Player Discovers New Loretta Skip In Latest Patch

Oh Loretta, thou art a Great Enemy in thy game Elden Ring, but player hath discovered a way to skip past thee.

Elden Ring players will at some point come across Loretta, Knight of the Haligtree, if they head to the bottom of Miquella's Haligtree. Although she is an optional boss players must defeat Loretta in order to gain access to Elphael, Brace of the Haligtree.

But one player has discovered a way to skip Loretta in patch 1.06 of Elden Ring. Shared on Reddit, the method needed to skip the Haligtree Knight looks to be fairly complicated but it does work going by the video evidence, although some might question why use the skip when you could just, you know, fight her and kill her.

However, FromSoft veterans know that in many of its games, once a boss is defeated, that area of the game is somehow marked complete and it's no longer possible to summon cooperators anymore and as such invasions are also not possible. But if you skip the boss, you can continue luring in invaders and continue progressing through the map. But there are still workarounds, one player mentions that they used Taunter's Tongue and managed to get invaded while presumably standing in a defeated Loretta's arena.

But as with most FromSoft titles, experimentation can be key to unlocking all sorts of things. Some commentors did question the convoluted path to get past Loretta, but others rightly recognised the OP for the skill needed to pull off the skip. "I think it takes more skill to pull this off than to just kill her," wrote one.

The resourcefulness of Elden Ring players continue to amaze as more skips are discovered, alongside that have been found for Radhan Festival and longtime fans using classic Dark Souls glitches to skip areas. Although these techniques might have to be used ASAP as they do sometimes get patched out.

Those wanting to skip Loretta may well want to give this latest one a go, just follow the video above as closely as you can. Good luck, Tarnished!
