Final Fantasy 14 has an optional item store where players can use real money to purchase in-game items. These include mounts, minions, outfits, orchestrion rolls, and more. If you want to deck your Warrior of Light out in a brand new outfit, it can be hard to judge whether it will suit them or not.
That's where the Dreamfitting option comes in. Using this in-game feature, you can try on Optional Item Store outfits on your Warrior of Light and decide whether it's the right style for your character. Here's everything you need to know about Dreamfitting.

Once you access Dreamfitting, you can try on any clothing items available from the Optional Item Store, with the left side of the screen breaking these down into several categories so you can identify the clothing you're looking for more quickly.
The 'Latest Trends' category lists the latest items added to the Optional Item Store. You can try on outfits in full, or per individual item.
If you wish to purchase any of the items, clicking 'Visit the Online Store' will open a tab in your browser. There, you will have to sign in to your Square Enix account, choose the item you wish to purchase, follow the instructions to input payment details, and then pick the character you wish to distribute it to.
How To Try Clothing With Different Dye Or Items
If you wish to try an Optional Item Store clothing item with your current gear set or preview it in another dye, simply right-click on the item from the Dreamfitting menu and select 'Try on'.
Once in the Fitting Room menu, you can choose to display your current gear set by clicking 'Display Gear' at the bottom of the pop-up. You can also right-click on the item you're trying on, and choose 'Enable Dye Preview' to see it in other colors.
What Kind Of Outfits Are Available?
There is a range of outfits and clothing items available on the Optional Item Store, including exclusive items that cannot be found elsewhere in-game. Square Enix adds new outfits regularly, which often become the latest glamour trend.
Additionally, seasonal event outfits are added, but not straight away. For example, if you missed out on a clothing item from a specific seasonal event, it won't be added to the Optional Item Store until the following year's event.
Sometimes outfits or items that were made available via other means are added to the store too. Such as past Fan Festival items, or items originally earned via specific collaborations.
