Final Fantasy 14: Moogle Treasure Trove – The Hunt for Esoterics March 2021 Guide

The Moogle Treasure Trove event is returning to Final Fantasy 14, inviting players to join in the Hunt for Irregular Tomestones of Esoterics. The event will run from March 15th, 2021, at 1:00 AM PDT until the launch of Patch 5.5, which is currently due to release on April 13th, 2020.

For players unfamiliar with the event, participating in and completing certain raids, PvP duties, and dungeons will reward you with Irregular Tomestones of Esoterics. You can then exchange these at Itinerant Moogles for a range of rewards, including mounts, minions, and Triple Triad cards. Here’s everything you need to know about the event.

Duties that Earn Irregular Tomestones of Esoterics

Earns 10 Tomestones Per Run:

  • The Praetorium — Level 50 Dungeon unlocked via “The Ultimate Weapon” main scenario quest.

Earns 7 Tomestones Per Run:

  • The Orbonne Monastery — Level 70 Raid unlocked via the “The City of Lost Angels” sidequest given by Jenomis cen Lexentale in The Prima Vista Tiring at (X:5.9, Y:5.9).
  • Castrum Meridianum — Level 50 Dungeon unlocked via the “Rock the Castrum” main scenario quest.

Earns 6 Tomestones Per Run

  • The Ridorana Lighthouse — Level 70 Raid unlocked via the “Annihilation” sidequest given by Jenomis cen Lexentale in The Prima Vista Bridge at (X:6.1, Y:5.9).

Earns 5 Tomestones Per Run

  • The Royal City of Rabanastre — Level 70 Raid unlocked via “A City Fallen” sidequest given by Ramza bas Lexentale in The Prime Vista Bridge at (X:5.8, Y:6.0).

Earns 3 – 5 Tomestones Per Run

The number of Tomestones given from the following PvP duties are dependant on whether you win or lose.

  • The Borderland Ruins (Secure) — Level 30 PvP unlocked via the “Like Civilized Men and Women” sidequest given by each city state’s Grand Company NPC.  Trachraet in the Limsa Lominsa Upper Decks at (X:12.8, Y:12.8)/Mimio Mio in Ul’dah the Steps of Nald at (X:8.6, Y:9.4)/Scarlet in New Gridania at (X:10, Y:11.5).
  • Seal Rock (Seize) — Level 30 PvP unlocked via the “Like Civilized Men and Women” sidequest given by each city state’s Grand Company NPC. Trachraet in the Limsa Lominsa Upper Decks at (X:12.8, Y:12.8)/Mimio Mio in Ul’dah the Steps of Nald at (X:8.6, Y:9.4)/Scarlet in New Gridania at (X:10, Y:11.5).
  • The Fields of Glory (Shatter) — Level 30 PvP automatically unlocked for players who have previously unlocked Frontline via the “Like Civilized Men and Women” sidequest given by each city state’s Grand Company NPC. Trachraet in the Limsa Lominsa Upper Decks at (X:12.8, Y:12.8)/Mimio Mio in Ul’dah the Steps of Nald at (X:8.6, Y:9.4)/Scarlet in New Gridania at (X:10, Y:11.5).
  • Onsal Hakair (Danshig Naadam) — Level 30 PvP unlocked via the “Like Civilized Men and Women” sidequest given by each city state’s Grand Company NPC. Trachraet in the Limsa Lominsa Upper Decks at (X:12.8, Y:12.8)/Mimio Mio in Ul’dah the Steps of Nald at (X:8.6, Y:9.4)/Scarlet in New Gridania at (X:10, Y:11.5).
  • Hidden Gorge — Level 30 PvP unlocked via the “Earning Your Wings” sidequest given by Softknox in the Wolve’s Den Pier at (X:5.7, Y:5.5).

Earns 4 Tomestones Per Run

  • The Aurum Vale — Level 47 Dungeon unlocked via the “Going for Gold” sidequest given by Nedrick Ironheart in Western Thanalan at (X:12, Y:14).
  • The Keeper of the Lake — Level 50 Dungeon unlocked via “The Rising Chorus” main scenario quest.
  • The Wanderer’s Palace — Level 50 Dungeon unlocked via the “Trauma Queen” sidequest given by Allene in Western Thanalan at (X:11.4, Y:13.9).
  • Amdapor Keep — Level 50 Dungeon unlocked via the “Ghosts of Amdapor” sidequest given by Nedrick Ironheart in Western Thanalan at (X:12, Y:14).

Earns 3 Tomestones Per Run

  • Dzemael Darkhold — Level 44 Dungeon unlocked via the “Shadows Uncast” sidequest given by each city state’s Grand Company NPC. Swift in Ul’dah the Steps of Nald at (x:8, y:8)/R’ashaht Rhiki in Limsa Lominsa Upper Decks at (X:13, Y:12)/Vorsaile Heuloix in New Gridania at (X:9, Y:11).

Earns 1 Tomestone Per Run

  • Alexander – The Fist of the Father — Level 60 Raid unlocked via the “Disarmed” sidequest given by Slowfix in Idyllshire at (X:7, Y:6).
  • Alexander – The Cuff of the Father — Level 60 Raid unlocked via the “Steel and Steam” sidequest given by Biggs in The Dravanian Hinterlands at (X:21, Y:18).
  • Alexander – The Arm of the Father — Level 60 Raid unlocked via the “Tinker, Seeker, Soldier, Spy” sidequest given by Biggs in The Dravanian Hinterlands at (X:21, Y:18).
  • Alexander – The Burden of the Father — Level 60 Raid unlocked via “The Pulsing Heart” sidequest given by Mide in The Dravian Hinterlands at (X:21.7, Y:18.8).

All duties that earn Irregular Tomestones of Esoterics will have a Moogle head next to them in the Duty Finder. Tomestones will not be awarded if the Undersized Party option is used. However, Tomestones can be earned via Command Missions with Adventurer Squadrons.
