Fortnite Doomsday event: What time does the live event start in Fortnite in June?

The Fortnite Doomsday event is going to be a big deal for gamers when it kicks off, but this won’t be happening until early June, following changes made to the schedule at the last minute. While Epic Games originally had a plan to launch its Doomsday Device on Saturday, May 30, 2020, this is no longer the plan. Instead, the development team behind the hit shooter has pushed back its schedule for the Fortnite event and the launch of Season 3 by a week.

WHEN IS THE FORTNITE DOOMSDAY EVENT?

The Fortnite Doomsday event release date has been rescheduled for Saturday, June 11, 2020, a week later than first announced.

Epic Games has also given the event an official name, referring to it as “The Device,” which makes a lot of sense at this point.

The development team has also confirmed that the next Fortnite live event time has been set for 2pm ET.

This means for gamers in the UK, Fortnite: The Device will be kicking off at 7pm GMT, on the same day.

This should make it possible for most people to tune and watch the Doomsday device do whatever it has been made for.

Epic Games has also warned that this event will not be replayed and gamers will want to get into servers 30 minutes before everything kicks off.

Here’s the latest news shared by Epic Games regarding the upcoming Fortnite live event on PS4, Xbox, PC, Switch, Mobile and Mac.

“Hey everyone, In an effort to get everything ready for Chapter 2 – Season 3, we’re extending Season 2 by one week.

“The new launch day of Season 3 will be Thursday, June 11. Also, make sure to check out a one-time-only live event called The Device, now scheduled for Saturday, June 6 at 2 PM ET (please show up 30 minutes early to help secure your spot, space is limited!).

“Before the new Season, don’t forget to complete your Battle Pass Challenges and lock in appearance choices for Brutus, TNTina, Meowscles, Skye, Midas, and Maya.

“There’s still time to complete the recently-added Location Domination and Storm The Agency Challenges.

“For the latest, be sure to follow our social media channels. Thanks for your patience and continued support.”

Anticipation is high for the next Fortnite live event as it marks the first time Epic Games has held an end-of-season live event since last year.

The last Fortnite end-of-season live event was the spectacular The End event for Fortnite season 10.

The current theory is that the new device will flood different parts of the map through some kind of environmental attack.

There’s a chance that more Easter eggs and hints could be shared in the coming days by Epic Games before things kick off next weekend.

Fortnite is a free game that can be downloaded across multiple platforms, making the Doomsday Device event very accessible.
