While venturing through the world of Horizon Forbidden West, you may come across towers known as Vista Points. These are points of interest, focused on a nearby view from the old world, and will act as one of the collectibles in the game.
After finding one, you will need to look around for the location that the photo was taken from – only everything is in ruins. Here's where to find every Vista Point in the game, and how to complete them.

What Do You Get For Completing All Vista Points? |
Vista Point: The Daunt
The first Vista Point can be found while in The Daunt – the first open area you're set loose in before heading out into the Forbidden West. Head to the location on the map included above to find the tower.
Scan the base of the tower to get the image you need to locate. Then head to a broken bridge slightly north of the tower itself, which will have a view of the nearby hotel ruins. Line up the image with the view to complete this Vista Point.
Vista Point: Plainsong
For the next Vista Point, head to the location on the map above – just west of Plainsong. You will be able to spot the tower near some ruins and scan it to receive the image.
Then head a little further up into the ruins, and you will find a ledge with a broken balcony, shown in the images above. You will be looking over the satellite dishes of Plainsong, between two wind turbines – one of which is broken. Line up the view of Plainsong to complete this Vista Point.
Vista Point: Scalding Spear
This Vista Point is located in the hills to the east of Scalding Spear. The tower is located where the yellow flag marker is on the map above, looking over the Sunwing territory.
The Sunwings will be directly in your path – you can either sneak past them, or clear them out beforehand to make it a lot easier to navigate.
Once you have scanned the tower to receive the image, head down to the point marked on the map – closer to Scalding Spear, on the other side of the Sunwings. Line up the image from the roof of one of the buildings to complete the Vista Point.
Vista Point: The Stillsands
Head to the point marked on the map, on the northern edge of the desert. The tower is easy to spot, and you can scan it to get the image you need to line up.
Climb the hill behind the tower, just to the north, and you will get a good view of Las Vegas. Some Burrowers can appear here, so clear them out when they show up. Then head to the ledge shown above and line up the view to complete the Vista Point.
Vista Point: Dunehollow
After you've cleared out Dunehollow as part of the story missions, you can head back down there – either as part of a few side quests or just by heading back down the elevator at Hidden Ember. You will find the next Vista Point amongst the ruins, by the large "FatShake" sign shown in the image above. This is around where the Snapmaw and fellow machines are roaming, so clear them out if you haven't already.
Scan the base of the tower to get the image, and then head back to the area where you fought the Tideripper – climb up to the overhanging bridge with the ladder, and the Vista Point can be completed by standing at the ledge as shown above and lining up the image.
Vista Point: The Memorial Grove
This Vista Point tower can be found at the yellow flag marker on the map above – it's easy enough to spot as you pass through the area, so scan it to grab the image when you're nearby.
Then you'll need to head up the hills to the east, marked on the map above with the Vista Point icon. You can spot a ledge by an old satellite tower, which is where you'll want to stand. Line up the view to complete this Vista Point.
Vista Point: The Long Coast
The next Vista Point is located just southwest of The Greenhouse, and north of Tide's Reach – the yellow flag marker on the map above shows the specific placement of the tower, which can be found near the water beside some trees.
Once you have scanned the base of the tower for the image, head west towards one of the smaller islands just off the shore – marked by the Vista Point icon on the map above. Climb to get a good view of The Greenhouse between the trees, and line up the image to complete the Vista Point for The Long Coast.
Vista Point: Shrouded Heights
Shown by the yellow flag marker on the map above, this Vista Point tower is on the northern edge of San Francisco. It will be overgrown and amidst some other ruins, so scan for the signal coming from the base of the tower to make spotting it a little easier. Grab the image needed, and then head to the water for the viewpoint.
Dive in towards the Vista Point icon shown on the map above. Swim down towards the bottom of the water, and scan for a ledge you can boost from. Instead of boosting from it, hold onto it to line up the image with the ruins ahead – the specific location of this can be seen in the images above.
Final Vista Point: Isle Of Spires
This last Vista Point will only become available once you have completed the others. You can find the tower as marked on the map above, nearby the large metal structure – scan it to get the image.
You will have needed to complete the story mission 'The Wings Of The Ten' in order to complete this final Vista Point. If you have not done so yet, you will need to come back later.
Head up to the top of the large metal structure beside the Vista Point tower. When at the top, you will need to climb over to the opposite perch point, as shown above. There are some ledges you can pull down with the pullcaster, and make your way over to that point. From there, line up the image, and you will have completed the final Vista Point.
What Do You Get For Completing All Vista Points?
After completing the final Vista Point, Aloy will mention yet another nearby signal – this will be marked for you to go to as part of the quest, and is slightly north into the ruins of San Francisco. The specific location of the cache is shown in the images above.
The cache will include a few materials and resources for you to grab. After retrieving this, Aloy will also mention a Datapoint from Elisabet Sobeck, which will then play for you to listen to.
With that, you will have finished all of the Vista Point quests in the game.
