Industry insider Jeff Grubb has reiterated that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will launch at some point in March next year, and a new book release announced by Disney might back up that claim.
Disney has announced that two new books focusing on the Star Wars: Jedi series will release next year, the first of which is called Star Wars Jedi: Battle Scars and takes place between the events of Fallen Order and Survivor. While tie-in books aren't all that unusual, Battle Scars is set to launch in March next year, suggesting that Disney could be planning to publish extra material to promote the release of Survivor during the same month.
The second book, The Art of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, will be published by Dark Horse and will "chronicle the development of the game." The book is set to launch at some point in May, further suggesting that the game will release before then since it would be pretty difficult to "chronicle" development if development is still ongoing. That being said, EA hasn't announced a release date for the game just yet, so it's worth keeping your expectation in check.
In fact, EA CEO Andrew Wilson recently tried to play down rumors of a March release date, telling fans not to "assume anything." It's not an outright debunking of the rumored release date, but it's possible that it may not be set in stone just yet and that Wilson is covering for any possible delays.
However, all signs at the moment do point to a March release. Grubb is one of the industry's most reputable insiders and a recent listing on the PlayStation database also suggested that Jedi: Survivor will launch in March, backing up his recent claims. Gamescom is right around the corner and The Game Awards is set for the end of the year, so it's likely we'll get a release date announcement at some point before the year is out.
