Nvidia has released its latest Game Ready driver for its GeForce GPUs, giving you the best performance for titles like Microsoft Flight Simulator, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2, and A Total War Saga: Troy. The update also adds support for an upcoming ray tracing test for World of Warcraft: Shadowlands.
World of Warcraft launched in 2004 and has seen one big graphical overhaul since then, but it’s still surprising to see Blizzard adding new graphical features such as ray tracing to the MMO. Shadowlands will have a test server soon as part of the expansion’s beta that will let you sample some ray-traced shadows–not the highly detailed reflections often associated with ray tracing, but rather a more accurate implementation to give shadows more depth.
Outside of World of Warcraft, this latest 452.06 update will also include performance improvements for imminent titles, such as Microsoft Flight Simulator (out on August 18) and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 (out on September 4). The driver also adds eight more monitors to Nvidia’s G-Sync compatible program, bringing the total up to 110. The monitors now certified are:
- Acer XB273U GX
- Acer VG272 LV
- Acer XV272 LV
- Acer CP5271U V
- Acer X34 GS
- Asus PG329
- IO Data GC252UXm
- Lenovo Y25-25
You can download the latest driver via Nvidia’s GeForce Experience app, or directly from its website right here. Nvidia is hosting a stream on September 1 which will likely reveal the next generation of GPUs from the company, powered by its Ampere architecture.
