Instead, it will be an Alpha version of League of Legends Wild Rift, which will be available in Brazil and the Philippines.
News on the LoL Mobile rollout will be shared by the end of May and will include details for Android and iOS users.
This information was shared by Riot Games earlier this month, following a mix up on the Google Play Store.
“Many of you found a “testing” link that was briefly available on the Play Store,” a message from Riot Games explains.
“Opting into this test likely put your account into a weird state with an “install” button that errored out.
“This one was our bad; we had accidentally toggled a setting that allowed you to ‘opt-in’ to a non-existent early access test.
“If you’re affected by this, you might have to pre-register again, but everything else should be back to normal.
“We’ve also seen reports that push notification has been sent out to some players saying the game is available.
“We’re still tracking down the source of where this is happening, but to be clear: the game is not available yet.
“So please don’t download anything fishy! Thanks to everyone that helped us troubleshoot so far.
“We’re temporarily raising the required device specs to support a very limited alpha test next month in Brazil and The Philippines.
“More info on that, and a bunch more, at the end of May. Hopefully, this helps – thanks for sticking with us.”
League of Legends Wild Rift is to launch on mobile devices in 2020, with a console version also in the works.
