Medieval Dynasty: What Is Inspector Mode?

There are countless resources available in Medieval Dynasty. Over the years, you will eventually need a majority of these resources that are spread throughout every corner of the valley. The forests can often be quite dense, making it hard to find what you are looking for though; fortunately, that's where Inspector Mode comes in handy.

With Inspector Mode, you will be able to easily see different animals and materials around you. In this guide, we are going to take a look at how Inspector Mode works. Inspector Mode isn't a necessity, but it will definitely make your time in the valley a little easier.

Do You Need To Unlock Inspector Mode?

Inspector Mode does not need to be unlocked. At the start of the game, you will immediately be able to use this feature.

Two upgrades will be able for Inspector Mode, though: Survival Sense and Tracker. Both of these skills can be unlocked with skill points after you level up the associated skill.

Survival Sense is a tier-one Survival skill that allows mushrooms, feathers, and herbs to be highlighted in Inspector Mode.

Tracker is a tier two Hunting skill that allows you to see all wild animals in Inspector Mode. For more information, be sure to check out our complete guide on every animal location.

How To Use Inspector Mode

To use Inspector Mode, all you need to do is hold down 'Alt.' This will dull the screen, while highlighting gatherable materials and animals. Inspector Mode will use up your stamina; you will exit Inspector Mode if you have no stamina left.

Items that are hidden from sight will appear on the screen during Inspector Mode. This is helpful if you are in an area where it is hard to see, such as a dense forest. Below, you can check out all items that can be seen with Inspector Mode, as well as what color they will be. The objects unlocked with the two upgrades will also be included in this list.

Item/Object Color Appearance In Inspector Mode
Hostile Wild Animals Red
Non-hostile Wild Animals Green
Livestock Blue
Harvestables Yellow
Sticks Green/blue

With Inspector Mode, you can also quickly check the skills of all villagers. This works on villagers that you have yet to recruit, allowing you to see if they will be a good fit in your own village.

Lastly, Inspector Mode will display the name of certain objects, such as arrows and spears. This allows you to easily retrieve any items you have thrown without losing them.

That's all there is to know about Inspector Mode in Medieval Dynasty! Overall, this informational overlay is great for stealthily killing animals and checking the stats of potential villagers.
